A 17th-century hotel in a charming Oxfordshire village. Built originally in 1605 – pre-dating the English Civil War – the Red Lion is a stunning Oxfordshire hotel in a rustic setting. Enjoy a home from home in this stunning period hotel. You’ll see and experience the Red Lion’s history in its wonderful stone exterior and tastefully decorated interior. The sense of its past is in every exposed oak beam and characterful nook and cranny in the rooms as well as in the pub and restaurant.
Accommodation
There are 13 rooms in the hotel, all of which have been recently refurbished. You’ll find a large, comfy bed in each, plus an en-suite bathroom and all the mod-cons you need for an enjoyable stay, whether you want a coffee in the morning or have to catch up online.
As it’s a period property, some of the rooms have steep stairs.
Dining
A rustic inn experience wouldn’t be complete without a traditional country pub, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Red Lion.
